Otters are so cute ๐Ÿ’™ - They're are hungry animals! Sea otters eat 25% of their body weight in food every day. They like to eat sea urchins, clams, mussels and crabs. They use their sea whiskers to find small creatures to eat, and their paws to dig for clams. Clever creatures, they'll use rocks to crack open the clams. They carry rocks and store food in the loose skin under their armpits - who needs carrier bags! - Via @montereybayaquarium

Orca.. what majestic creatures. @dylan_brayshaw capturing a moment to remember. Watch it all! This absolutely INSANE orca encounter is certainly a once in a lifetime moment!!!! These animals, much like sharks are massively misunderstood with, a rather negative reputation. No orca has EVER killed a human in the wild. Listen to the facts, not the hype. Congrats @dylan_brayshaw for capturing this beautiful, natural and magical encounter showing these apex predators aren’t reckless, ruthless killers; they’re intelligent, inquisitive, playful beings. Photos By @danboltphoto #baskingsharks can be found in temperate waters around the globe and are the world’s second largest living fish reaching an impressive 8 metres โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ € โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ € These sharks were once over exploited for their fins, liver oil and as a source of food for humans as well as feed for livestock. โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ € โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ € This has led to a decrease in population size and they are now listed as vulnerable. โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ € ๐Ÿ“ธ :@danboltphoto
This little guy was being chased by a pod of hungry orcas so he hopped onto this family's boat to save his own life! It's not everyday you see something like this! Would you have saved him? via @thedodo #ocean #seals #orca #animals #wild #wildlife
Watching waves form is extremely satisfying. I must have watched these 10 times each. Footage by @thurstonphoto #discoverocean #ocean #wave
Video by @martygarwood ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿฝ Eye to eye with a minke whale! It astounds me that my whole career so far I’ve been interested in what’s below the surface and this incredibly beautiful creature can be just as interested in what’s above it!! In this moment of eye contact I could tell it was just in a playful, curious mood. We stopped the boat as he was approaching and just glided together. A moment that made me realise we are all more similar than we are different #antarctica #whale #minkewhale #eyetoeye #nature
Photos by @paulnicklen // One of the most unique, special and elusive species I have ever had the pleasure of photographing is the Narwhal. Most people do not realize that they even exist. There really are unicorns out there! The left helical spiraling tusk just happens to grow out of a beautiful 16 foot long whale that lives in the Arctic ocean. It doesn’t get any better than that. It took me ten years of trying different techniques to find these whales. Working with local Inuit guides and using my ultralight airplane with friend and fellow pilot, Brian Knutsen we were able to find hundreds of these whales living way offshore in the drifting pack ice. #discoverocean #whales #natures #ocean #narwhal
