According to numerous reports, Chelsea are leading the race to sign Christian Pulisic. The American has 18 months left on his contract with Borussia Dortmund and due to the emergence of Jadon Sancho has only played 54 minutes of Bundesliga football since the start of October. He has attracted the attention of other Premier League clubs like Tottenham and Liverpool as well as Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich. His value is around the area of £70m. I think this is a smart buy by Chelsea’s standards as we have no real heir to Pedro and Willian in that right wing spot which Christian could fill comfortably. Fun fact: I attended a training camp that his dad was conducting a couple years back and my brother played against him multiple times in the United States’ academy system. (Getty Images) #coyb

FT: Chelsea 0 - 0 Everton. A pretty uneventful game today saw the blues draw 0-0 at home. We couldn’t get anything going in the first half and only had about a 15 minute window in the second half of real chances but failed to apply the finishing touch. Could we start seeing the effects of Europa League football and playing on a Thursday? Dropping points at this stage of the season is crucial and this result means we’re only 1 point in front of Spurs who are sitting in 4th place and our next opponent. (Getty) #coyb
Nabil Fekir and Callum Wilson have emerged as main transfer targets for Chelsea in January. Nabil Fekir: Numerous reports say that Nabil Fekir is not going to resign with Lyon and could join Chelsea via a free transfer (deal ends in 2020) or a negotiated transfer fee beforehand. The 25-year-old scored 23 goals in all competitions last season. Would you like to see Fekir at Chelsea? Liverpool and Bayern Munich are also interested. Callum Wilson: Callum Wilson’s red hot form of 6 goals and 4 assists in 11 premier league games has earned him an England call-up and has drawn the interests of Chelsea. They are considering him as a cheaper option as opposed to Mauro Icardi at £90m and Krzysztof Piatek at £50m. However, Wilson is know to be frequently injured so the blues have to be careful if they want to approach him. #coyb
FT: Chelsea 1 - 0 BATE Borisov. We have qualified for the round of 32! However, despite the win we still looked shaky in defense with BATE nearly equalizing on two occasions but fortunately hit the post. We did dominate possession and shots per usual but the game was much closer than the stat line suggests. BATE deserves credit for their performance today. Congratulations to Olivier Giroud for scoring his first Chelsea goal of the season which was the decider and a phenomenal assist from Emerson who has been playing very well recently. #coyb

Juventus’ champions league loss to Manchester United means that Chelsea are the only team in Europe’s top 5 leagues to remain unbeaten in all competitions. (Getty Images) #coyb
FT: Chelsea 3 - 1 Crystal Palace. Great game from Chelsea after a relatively poor start. We finally got Morata scoring (5 goals in last 5 appearances in all competitions) again which means we may not have to go after Piatek in January. Palace didn’t have any real chances up until their goal which came out of nowhere. You can see the difference that Kovačić and Hazard made when they came on. Still going strong with 11 games unbeaten in the Premier League. Man of the match for me was Morata because of his brace. #coyb

We’ve got two nominees for the monthly awards of October. Maurizio Sarri was nominated for the Barclays manager of the month award and Ross Barkley was nominated for the @easportsfifa player of the month award. Go vote for them! (Getty Images) #coyb

FT: Chelsea 3 - 2 Derby County. A very interesting first half that saw all 5 goals scored, including two own goals by Derby. Honestly, we were lucky to escape there without having to go into penalty kicks. We were poor defensively the entire game. Towards the end of the game Derby really looked threatening and hit the post in the 89th minute. Man of the match for me is Caballero. Nevertheless, it’s great to see super Frank Lampard back where he belongs. #coyb
Ross Barkley’s last four games: 3 goals 3 assists How would you describe Barkley’s past few games? (Getty) #coyb
FT: Chelsea 4 - 0 Burnley. Great win for Chelsea without the star man today. Ross Barkley scored today and has completely changed since last season and is playing fantastically under Sarri. Morata scores as well which puts him at 4 goals in all competitions (not bad). Willian and Loftus-Cheek grabbed the last two goals and could’ve scored more if it weren’t for some fantastic saves from Hart. Man of the match for me has to be Ross Barkley. #coyb

A bit of transfer talk for you guys today. Genoa have allegedly set their asking price for 23-year-old Polish striker Krzysztof Piatek at £35m. Piatek has had a tremendous start to the season scoring 14 goals in all competitions. Should Chelsea make a bid for him? (Getty Images) #coyb
FT: Chelsea 3 - 1 BATE Borisov. Emphatic win for Chelsea in a competition that we haven’t looked that convincing in. Unlucky to not keep the clean sheet just have to do a better job marking on set pieces. Special shoutout to Ruben Loftus-Cheek who scored a hat-trick today and put in a phenomenal performance as well. Europa League has become a great way to give younger players game time who don’t usually get it, like Loftus-Cheek, Christensen, and Hudson-Odoi. Man of the match is a fairly obvious one, Ruben Loftus-Cheek. #coyb
Congratulations to Marcos Alonso for signing a 5 year contract extension. This deal sees him at the club until 2023! Hopefully Hazard is up next. #coyb
