Serpil is questioning concepts such as imposed identity, goodness, beauty, freedom and virtue. Her works refer to some of the tale characters that have influenced us across the generations through our classical bedtime stories. She puts them in symbolic settings related to their past or present times which seem ordinary to the audience and she wants us to ask ourselves this question : While we make choices to fulfill our existences and try to escape the stereotypes forced upon us, do we actually recreate clichés as well as triggering new sorts of prejudice again and again? Do we overcome life’s barriers, only to build our own? ­čÖĆ @artistswonders Ńâ╗Ńâ╗Ńâ╗/ Ayse Bezenmi┼č ‘in ikinci kisisel sergisi Nisan 2019 da C.A.M Galeri de aciliyor ­čÄł Ayse Bezenmi┼č, who gained admiration with her charcoal works, graduated from Marmara University, Ataturk Faculty of Education, Department of Art and Design in 2011. In 2013, she started her master education at the same school. In 2014, she opened her first solo exhibition (Projection of the Butterfly) at Arte Istanbul Art Gallery. There is a high level of naivety in her works, which she produces with charcoal pencil, which is a combination of Renaissance and Surrealism. With her unorthodox details and patterns Bezenmi┼č’s works capture her own unique style. Sidar Baki’s first solo exhibition ‘Nowhere’ is meeting viewers at the month of March in C.A.M. Gallery.  In his works the artist tries to voice his interaction with his environment and circumstances and states that his topics are shaped by the events he encountered after he became a teacher. Baki who likes to paint the effects his environment has on him, expresses himself by placing people in this environment. He brings the children to the spotlights from within the  congested, restrictive, chaotic, reinforced concrete and insulating spaces. These children who are playing on their own are separated from the environment. Even though the image that is established between the spaces and the children is actually a child on his/her own, a reference is made to the human being who is lonely, stationary, lost and abandoned. «The conditions and situations that make up my work environment and the problems faced by children in many parts of the world lay the foregrounds for my paintings. Since, both these children and my students play a major role in my paintings. As they became a part of my life they became a part of my paintings too. I can say that watching my students painting, sharing their excitement with them, having limited opportunities, playgrounds taken from their hands, concreteization, degradation but the mentality of still being a child who resists all this deeply affects me. Observing the children focus their energies towards painting and the joy in their eyes when they see what they have created is admirable. What more is that they accomplish this despite their environment. The polluted outer world became a part of my paintings as; the unreliable, sometimes bleak, sometimes doomed place. These children who disregard these uncanny places play their games with all their purity, they continue to do their paintings, and maybe they even take shelter in these places. Tuvallerinde içinde bulundu─ču ortam ve ko┼čullarla olan etkile┼čimini dile getirme çabas─▒ içinde olan sanatç─▒, konular─▒n─▒n ö─čretmen olduktan sonra kar┼č─▒la┼čt─▒─č─▒ olaylarla ┼čekillendi─čini belirtmekte. Çevrenin onda yaratt─▒─č─▒ etkiyi resimle┼čtirmeyi seven Baki, çizdi─či bu çevreye insan─▒ yerle┼čtirerek kendini ifade etmekte. Mekanlar─▒n s─▒k─▒┼č─▒k, s─▒n─▒rlay─▒c─▒, kaotik, betonarme ve izole edici halleri içinde çocuklar─▒ ön plana ç─▒kar─▒yor. Bu çocuklar çevreden kopuk, yaln─▒z, kendi kendilerine oynayan çocuklar. Mekanlarla çocuklar aras─▒nda kurulan ba─čla asl─▒nda imge çocuk olsa da yaln─▒z, dura─čan, yitirilmi┼č ve terkedilmi┼člik içindeki insana at─▒fta bulunuluyor. «Görev yapt─▒─č─▒m bölgedeki ko┼čullar, olaylar ve dünyan─▒n pek çok yerinde ya┼čanan s─▒k─▒nt─▒lar ve tüm  bunlardan en çok etkilenen çocuklar ile ö─črencilerim olan  çocuklar─▒n resimlerimde rolü çok büyük oldu. Onlar benim hayat─▒ma kar─▒┼čt─▒kça resimlerime dahil oldular. Özellikle ö─črencilerimi resim yaparken izlemek, heyecanlar─▒na ortak olmak, k─▒s─▒tl─▒ imkanlar─▒, ellerinden al─▒nan oyun mekanlar─▒, betonla┼čma, bozulma ama yine de buna direnen bir çocuk olma halinin beni derinden etkiledi─čini söyleyebilirim. Çocuklar─▒n resim yapmaya odaklanan enerjilerini ve yaratt─▒klar─▒n─▒ seyrederken gözlerindeki ne┼čeyi görmek hayranl─▒k uyand─▒r─▒c─▒yd─▒. Üstelik bunu mekandan ba─č─▒ms─▒z yap─▒yorlard─▒. Kirlenen d─▒┼č dünya; güven vermeyen, bazen kasvetli bazen tehlikelere aç─▒k metruk mekanlar olarak resme dahil oldu.
