Loving your body is definitely something that doesn’t come easily to most people. We all have the parts of us that we would change in a split second if we were given a magic wand. Trying to always be positive, loving and accepting of oneself is something that can be a daily struggle. So shout out to those who are really trying! Those who are choosing to love themselves even though it’s a daily struggle. You got this! โค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธ
There is something so satisfying about a new week. That fresh feeling knowing that it’s a new start. I love Mondays because I get to tackle new goals and reset any areas of my life that I feel need my attention.  Creating a positive relationship with ‘those Monday blues’ can actually been quite rewarding. Instead of looking at a new week in a draining way, think of how amazing it is to know that at any given moment you can DECIDE to do completely new things and reach completely new goals ๐Ÿ’•
Just a reminder to you all that health isn’t a particular size. We all have different shapes, weight, and looks. Being healthy might look completely different on you than it does on the person next to you. So instead of comparing bodies and sizes, instead think about how your energy levels are, how your digestion is, how clear your skin is, how healthy your hair looks and how clear you can think. We should be working on improving these things instead of trying to fit into size 6 jeans ๐Ÿ’œ
Take 10 minutes of everyday to be by yourself. Check in with how you're feeling, with what's going on in your mind, with how your body is feeling and how your emotions are. Creating this body connection will allow us to become more intuitive. It will help us make food choices that our body is actually needing, it will make us become aware when we need to slow down in life and it will allow our mind to be settled and present. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผโœจ image via : @soloh_io

Knowing yourself. Knowing who you are. Knowing what you want. Knowing the path you need to chose. To some these can sound like unanswerable questions. โ € โ € It can be so hard to know the correct direction that you’re supposed to be taking. But if you can do the work to first figure out WHO YOU ARE. What makes you happy, what makes you feel content, when do you forget the time, when you do forget about anything else in the world, when do you feel like everything is exactly as it should be........ THEN you can start making decisions based around what is in alignment with those answers. โ € โ € If you’re not sure on those answers yet, then you need to do some reflective work. You need to be present within your mind and emotions. And you need to give yourself THE TIME to figure this out - it doesn’t happen overnight. โ € โ € I believe the universe has a path for all of us. We are exactly where we are meant to be. Something good always comes from things and decisions that are being made from the heart. ๐Ÿ’•
There is nothing worse than realising you waisted precious moments of your life. I suffered with an eating disorder for 4 years. That’s 4 years of torturing my body, constantly having toxic thoughts, hating the vessel that I lived in, not doing certain things because I was scared people would judge how I looked. I waisted precious moments that could have been the most memorable time of my life.  Life isn’t worth living through hate, judgement and self sabotage. Life is worth living through happiness, gratitude, adventure and peace โค๏ธ
Water is considered the elixir and source of life. It covers more than 70% of the Earth’s surface, makes up nearly 70% of our bodies, and constitutes over 70% of our heart and brains.  This deep biological connection has been shown to trigger an immediate response in our brains when we’re near water. In fact, the mere sight and sound of water can induce a flood of neurochemicals that promote wellness, increase blood flow to the brain and heart and induce relaxation. 100% ... We all have this image in our head of how we want things to be, what we should be doing, how we should look. Once you get rid of these preconceived ideas we can appreciate and respect ourselves, our lives and others in a whole new way ๐Ÿ’•
Handstands are something that I absolutely love and they make me genuinely happy.. I can be having a bad day and then go out and do a handstand and be instantly happier ๐Ÿ’ƒ๐Ÿผ ... That feeling of happiness is so important for your health - not only psychologically but also physically. I will be doing a blog post on how your mind impacts your physical health later this week! ๐Ÿ’ฏ% ... Surround yourself with people who lift you up. Those who appreciate you for YOU. Those who laugh at how silly you are, don't judge you when you're moody, and are there for you when you need them. Don't ever feel like you need to change who you are, your personality or the things you like. Be unapologetically YOU ๐Ÿ’•
โ—๏ธDID YOU KNOW? โ € โ € ๐Ÿคฏ The sympathetic response to stress and fear consists in a rapid release of stress chemicals into the bloodstream, including cortisol, adrenaline, and noradrenaline. The reaction to fear is almost instantaneous, but shutting down the stress system takes more time.โ € โ € ๐Ÿ’†๐Ÿผ‍โ™€๏ธ Deep relaxation and meditation can help shut down the release of stress chemicals into to the bloodstream simply by counteracting some of the effects of these chemicals. The stress chemicals cause muscles to tense up. By consciously deciding to relax, you counteract the stress chemicals. โ € โ € ๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿผ Be sure to schedule in some deep relaxation activities into your weekly routine to help your bodies chemicals work optimally. โ € โ € (Image source unknown)
Society shapes us in many ways, possibly more than we realise – from our interactions, to our personal development through to others’ perception of our bodies as a reflection of self worth.  The more we can understand this, the more we can decide to create OUR OWN thoughts on the way we feel, think, and treat our body โค๏ธ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ
ARE YOU ALWAYS HUNGRY? โ € โ € ๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿผ I’ve had quite a few people messaging me lately to ask for advice about always feeling hungry. So I thought I might share some info in a post for anyone else struggling. โ € โ € ๐Ÿฅฆ The first place I would always check if I were always hungry are my macronutrient levels. We need to have a nice balance of these macros (protein, carbs, fat) for our body to function optimally. If our body can feel that we are depriving ourselves of any of the main macro’s it will send signals of hunger and continue to send these signals until it’s received the nutrients needed. โ € โ € If you are unsure about your food, if you’re getting a good balance of macronutrients or if you are lacking in specific nutrients it would be worth going to see a nutritionist or dietician to get it checked out. โ € โ € ๐Ÿคฏ Eating speed is another area that I would focus on. If you are scoffing your food down, it doesn’t give your brain enough time to catch up. So again it will keep sending signals to keep eating until it’s managed to catch up. At this point you have probably already over eaten. โ € โ € ๐Ÿ’†๐Ÿผ‍โ™€๏ธ Stress is another area to look at. Some people lose their hunger when their stressed, others stress eat (that’s me). When we are stress we can turn to food for comfort and as a way of literally feeling our emotions. If you are living a stressful lifestyle of going through some hard tones, it might be worth introducing some stress reduction activities. โ € โ € ๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿผ These are my top three tips for hunger. There are of course many more reasons as to why you could be feeling intense amounts of hunger, but these are great places to start ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผโ €

This is something that I am absolutely living by lately! You can’t expect things to just happen unless you take the steps to do so. In the past certain ideas would just stay in my head because I would assume that it would either not work or it would be a no. But if you never ask or never pursue something, nothing’s ever going to happen. Don’t be afraid to take chances, you’ll probably be surprised at the outcomes โค๏ธ
